Pork Power
Illinois Pork Producers announce Pork Power - Partnering to Fight Hunger in Illinois. The Illinois Pork Producers, Illinois Corn Marketing Board, Illinois Soybean Association, Illinois Meat Processors and the Illinois Food Bank Association team up to provide 100,000 pounds of pork to individuals seeking food assistance. Since July 2007, our member programs have supplied an average of 10, 300 households per month with food to take home and feed their families. This is an average of 32,400 people each month at risk of hunger in eastern Illinois.
